Details: The artwork on this beermat was created by Donald Smith, who designed a poster in 1962 bearing the same image. Smith designed a number of posters between 1950 and the early 1970s.

He produced many posters for the Post Office Savings Bank, as well as a poster advertising Rolo. He also illustrated travel and exhibition publicity posters.
