Daphne Padden (1927-2009) was born in Lambeth, London and studied Design for Painting at the Epsom & Ewell School of Art.

Padden produced posters and publicity material for a range of clients including the British Transport Commission, the Post Office Savings Bank, ROSPA and British European Airways.

Padden’s work can be found in several collections, including the UK's Royal Archives, the The Postal Museum, the Science Museum Group and National Museum Wales.
