Details: Between the 1940s and 1970s, the French Loterie Nationale commissioned a new poster for each weekly lottery draw.

This particular image by Nicole Constant was reproduced on a leaflet publicising a special draw in 1960. It is a version of the artwork used on the poster.

Constant created poster designs for the lottery during the 1950s and 60s. Many of her designs feature themes of luck and fortune, using quirky characters to appeal to the lottery-playing public.
