Details: This 1961 magazine advert for the French Tourist Office was created by Matthieu Diesse (1926-2004), an artist born in Bordeaux, France.

Diesse joined the Havas-Conseil advertising agency as a poster artist in 1955, later becoming artistic director. In the 1970s he joined l’Agence Belier, where he created numerous publicity films and campaigns.

He later focused on his own artwork, exhibiting paintings of landscapes.
