Details: This poster stamp publicised the Foire Suisse d'Echantillons Bâle in 1961. The same image was also used on a poster for the event. The illustration was created by Fritz Bühler (1909-1963).

Fritz Bühler was born in Basel, Switzerland. He studied in Basel, Berlin and Paris. His started his career by working at an advertising agency as a graphic designer.

In 1933, he opened his own studio in Basel producing posters, brochures, magazines, exhibitions, advertising films, and packaging.

He was a founding member of Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI) and became an AGI president in 1960.
